SOLD JUNE 2024 – C. 12.5 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Friday 21st Of June At 12 Noon

The auction of this superb roadside holding had been “hotly anticipated since it’s launch” according to auctioneer David Quinn. Mr Quinn added that “strong levels of enquiries translated into approximately fifteen registered bidders” with interest coming from “local farmers and businesspeople in the main”.

The property was guided at €15,000.

On the day of the auction, the property opened at €100,000 and moved briskly with the help of five bidders to €340,000 . Upon returning to the auction room, Mr Quinn declared the property “on the market” and invited further bids. Two bidders remained active with the hammer falling at €370,000.

The price equates to approx. €30,000 per acre, effectively double the guide price.

Speaking after the auction, David commented that this was “an exceptionally strong result that demonstrates the level of demand for similar holdings”. David added that his clients were “delighted with the outcome of the auction” which was a “record for agricultural land in the Bunclody area”.
