SOLD JULY 2024 – Valuable C. 14 Acre Holding For Sale by Online Auction On Friday, 12th July At 12 Noon

Friday’s auction saw a well-located holding on the New Line Road, just outside Wexford Town come to the market. Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the property at €10,000 and described the land as “of reasonable agricultural quality” but with “planning potential due to its road frontage”.

On the day of the auction, bidding commenced at €100,000 and moved to €180,000 after brisk early bidding from three parties. Following a consultation with the vendors, the property was declared to be “on the market”. Bidding continued past €200,000 with the hammer ultimately falling at €204,000.

Speaking afterwards, Mr Quinn commented that “this was an excellent result with the price achieved equating to over €14,500 per acre”. David added that “this auction result together with several recent successful auctions across June and July highlight the strength of the market as a whole and should encourage prospective vendors”.
