SOLD SEPTEMBER 2024 – Excellent C. 6 Acre Roadside Holding For Sale By Online Auction On Wednesday, 11th September At 12 Noon

Today’s auction saw a super c. 6 acre holding come to the market in a most desirable location. The land is of good quality, currently in grass and it benefits from extensive road frontage. Given its road frontage, there may be site potential, subject to the relevant planning permission.

Auctioneer David Quinn had guided the lands at €10,000 per acre and received “a nice volume of enquiries” over the course of the marketing campaign, “mainly from local farmers”. Mr noted five registered bidders in advance of the auction.

On the day of the auction, bidding opened at €40,000 and with three active bidders, it moved briskly to €60,000. With no further bids forthcoming, the hammer fell at €10,000 per acre.

Speaking afterwards, Mr Quinn commented that he was “pleased to have presided over another successful auction”. He also added that he was looking forward to the company’s upcoming auction schedule with over 100 acres across the Southeast due to go under the hammer over the coming weeks.
